Aliyah Mitchell

Aliyah is an Ann Arbor, MI-based language enthusiast and filmmaker. Her favorite projects examine the intersections of identity, belonging, and the language experiences of marginalized groups. In 2024 she produced and edited “Right to Read” a short documentary for Ann Arbor 200 about the 1979 Ann Arbor King Case, also known as the Black English case. | Produced and edited “Un Ángel Soñador” with writer and cartoonist Phoebe Gloeckner which premiered at the Ann Arbor Film Festival 2024. She is a multimedia producer at the University of Michigan, and she continues to pursue stories that intentionally feature themes of language and linguistics.


Kimmie Kim

Kimmie Kim has extensive experience producing live shows, special events, and films. Her acclaimed documentary “LIVE FROM NEW YORK!“, a film that chronicles the 40-year history of SNL, premiered on the opening night of the Tribeca Film Festival in 2015. Kimmie also produced the Ed Sheeran documentary, “SONGWRITER” which world premiered at 2018 Berlin International Film Festival and had its North American premiere at the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival. Kimmie is actively developing multiple projects across various genres, and she plans to continue her creative journey by telling stories that make the world laugh, think, and be inspired. |
